I have a former math major for a husband....he seperates laundry...but the dryer is another story. My clothes, the ones that will shrink, I have a seperate hamper for, and they get washed and line dried. I have had way too many shirts that fit fine before cleaning and after have a big gap where the belly bulge shows....not what anyone wants to see.
At my house we have four hampers, blue, red, green and white. The clothes get presorted before washing, and the kids help with folding and put away their own clothes. If it doesn't get into the hamper, it doesn't get washed.
I have boys though, and I have washed many rocks, coins, acorns, bits of trash, bottle caps, and on one memorable occasion crayons. Crayons will ruin an entire load of laundry. I try to check pockets, but to be honest; I really don't like reaching in there, I never know what I'm going to find. I'm afraid that one day it will be a snake, lizard or snail. EEEEWWWWW!!!!!
I believe with all my heart that hell is a enormous pile of dirty clothes, a washing machine, a dryer and an iron......for all eternity. And if that idea doesn't make you be good, nuthin' will.
