EVery man Does It Once

My BF gets in trouble with the dryer. I've tossed out more super-shrunk shirts, bras and undies than I can count. Our dryer gets more than hot enough on Low, he insists on using high.

Usually when he screws something up I smile and say thanks anyway. The laundry causes a meltdown.

I was sure that this post was about something else!

Glad to see it is just laundry. At our house laundry is my department. The most my hubby or the kids do is carry the hampers down to the basement or take clothes off the line. I do have rejected pile...I got a new front load washer and in the first week I ruined the rubber gasket that goes around the door. So now if it isn't button, zipped, and right side out, it goes in the rejected pile.

I have a former math major for a husband....he seperates laundry...but the dryer is another story. My clothes, the ones that will shrink, I have a seperate hamper for, and they get washed and line dried. I have had way too many shirts that fit fine before cleaning and after have a big gap where the belly bulge shows....not what anyone wants to see.

At my house we have four hampers, blue, red, green and white. The clothes get presorted before washing, and the kids help with folding and put away their own clothes. If it doesn't get into the hamper, it doesn't get washed.

I have boys though, and I have washed many rocks, coins, acorns, bits of trash, bottle caps, and on one memorable occasion crayons. Crayons will ruin an entire load of laundry. I try to check pockets, but to be honest; I really don't like reaching in there, I never know what I'm going to find. I'm afraid that one day it will be a snake, lizard or snail. EEEEWWWWW!!!!!

I believe with all my heart that hell is a enormous pile of dirty clothes, a washing machine, a dryer and an iron......for all eternity. And if that idea doesn't make you be good, nuthin' will.

I really hate doing laundry - it isn't so much the washing and drying as it is the putting away. And I only do mine and my fiances. the kids are on their own. Obviously - that's how he got a pink beer shirt.

If I can't wash everything together, it doesn't belong here. I'm not a sorter. Everything is washed on cold or warm, depending how fast I want the laundry done. I don't iron, unless we're going somewhere important... and I don't use bleach, since the only 'whites' we have are DH's undershirts and who's gonna see those?
