Everyone Please Pray For A Found Baby

Yes, they are VERY strict about wildlife here in NC. We tried tube feeding some baby rabbits that were in the garden. We tilled them up! Yeah, the wildlife service came and took them. I asked for an update and never got it.

Good for you, my sister-in-law (well most of my DH's family) will raise anything. They have people bring them Baby deer, possums, squirrels, raccoons, and she would take care of a skunk too. SIL is a member of the national possum society, so if anyone in the area finds a wounded or baby possum they can contact her and she will care for them. Her main priorty is to release them back to the wild. She will care for the babies and gradually take them outside approaching weaning stage. Next she will set up a home for them in a fenced area outside, then when she sees they are capable of caring for themselves she will leave the door open in fenced area for them to come and go as they please, which eventually they will leave and not return. She always puts out some puppy chow at night for passing by visitors, My FIL does the same thing, he goes through a big bag of puppy chow a week, the other night he counted 15 coons feasting at his back porch. He will sit outside with them and hand feeds them vanilla wafers. They love vanilla wafers. He had one old one that would visit and come in the house to get his wafers. He never hand feeds while there are more than one, unless they all come together on a regular basis and show no signs of food aggression. We tease him and tell him he would go hungry just to be able to feed those coons:lol: Good Luck with the baby and I will say a prayer.

Raise this raccoon to love chickens and then release it back into the wild. It will start a line of chicken loving coons. You might be the prophetess who heals the divide between the chicken community and the raccoon community.

Hi. What are you feeding her/him? I would suggest using the milk replacement for pups. I raised some baby squirrels on that and they did really well. I will raise anything that comes to us and needs a home. That's why we have 10 dogs and 10 cats amongst many other critters. Good luck! That lil baby is lucky you found it!

Everything worked out great!!
The friends of my husband we got the boat from called and said he seen a raccoon eating some of his cat's food late last night. He kept watch and seen it got into a old corn crib so he snuck out a looked through a crack with his flashlight and it was a mom and babies!!
We went early this morning about 4:30 am and he snuck out and looked and she wasn't at home! Thank Goodness, we sneaked my baby in with the two others who were the same exact size and looked very healthy and quickly ran away before momma came back! He doesn't care if their are wild animals around his property because he only has one cat and alot of unused land so they will be free to live out their lives naturally. Which is a god sent I hated the thought of giving her up or keeping her captive. Thank's everyone for the prayers and good thoughts! They really worked for her!

umm...i'm sorta confused by this one. Are you taking baby animal? or baby baby? I'm assuming it's a baby animal.
From reading the later post, it's easier to tell what it was....silly me.
