Everything Asil Thread ( show off those Asil )

I will definitely look up the seller...I figured I would let you all know that I haven't had any eggs hatch yet,but I have four eggs in the incubator, one dark Cornish bantam egg,one Asil bantam egg,and two reza sized Asil eggs...I hear chirping and moving/shuffling in the dark Cornish egg,but I can't really tell with the other three...but I'm not going to candle because that's not good for them...but I was wondering if asils are known to hatch a little late,or what it is for them? I saw development, and they were coming along great...I never candled them after 18 days either, but I still haven't had any asils hatch yet...

If ou open up the incubator after day 18 you risk letting all of the moisture out causing the chicks to stick to the shell and not be able to pip all the way around. Late hatch can be caused by low temperature more so than breed.

As it is I made a minimum bid on a dozen black copper marans Not expecting to win..after I had allready bid on a dozen SOP marans...you can guess the outcome. I have another dozen eggs possibly two to put in the incubator. Be warned EBAY AND HATCHING EGGS ARE ADDICTIVE
