There has been other threads that have Asil in them, but haven't seen a pure Asil thread.
Though id make one, since they are such an old and popular breed.

Post everything Asil here, colors, types, classifications, breeding tips the different strains & families etc.

    Basic info on the Asil:
Asil originally come from India, and are a very old if not ancient breed.
The Asil is said to be a breed that's over 3,000 years old.
The Asil comes in many colors & is considered a hard featherd breed.

The Asil is some times spelled Aseel.

C' Mon everyone show off your Asil [IMG]

I was wondering how many asil breeders were on BYC. I made an impulse buy at the Crossroads show and now own a trio of Docs birds.

Great thread, Josh! Wish I had an Asil to upload. Maybe if I do business with you next year, I'll have some Silver Duckwings to show off [IMG] Can't wait to see the Asil pics people upload!

This may sound obvious, but is "Doc" Mr. Everett?

I know some of you have seen this cock before, but I wanted to know if you think maybe he has Asil blood in him.

Since this is an Asil thread, I thought this would be an appropriate place to ask that question [IMG]

Yep, one and the same. I really like these three, i like the first hen myself, but the second once is nice.

I wish I had better pictures of my three. Maybe I will let them out for a photo shoot in the snow tomorrow and leave the rest of my flock locked up for the day.
How many people sell eggs? I would love to get more when I get my new coop with individual runs done for them.
