Some of you may know that I have a free ranging rabbit?:

Evil is still around. He goes in and out of the chicken coops at will and free ranges with the chickens. He's not afraid of humans and will stand a foot or two away as I fill feeders and waterers, tend to the chooks, etc.

Yes, I'll admit it. I leave a handful of gamebird scratch out each evening for Evil. He was brought into my life for a reason, though I don't yet know what it is.

The thing is, Evil is not growing. He should be nearly full-sized by now, but he's not. What's up with that?

Ranchy, he's got to be what 5 - 6 weeks old now?

I've seen him littermates around, they are much larger.

He was pretty much dead when I brought him in the house, respirations next to nothing. Could the near-drowning have stunted him somehow? He gets plenty to eat.

OR one of his parents is some little miniature bunny that someone dumped in a ditch somewhere and has magically managed to survive and even breed in the wild. Just a thought.

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin' down the cattle trail........

I'd be willing to bet the rough start slowed his growth. Might as well just let him eat, anything, anytime. When are you going to post a pic?

I'll see if I can get one this evening when he's out in the front yard with the younger flock, usually.

I meant to get one already, but as you know it hasn't been a pleasant couple of weeks.
