WHOA! Glad I looked this up again - EC, you shoulda PM'd me that there was way more activity here on this thread!
Okay, and TALK about things eating away your body...did any of you see the special, I believe it was NATGEO (National Geographic) about the small fish, that is attracted to the smell of urine, and when men walk into the water to pee...well, the fish is attracted...and swims up the....hoo-hoo & attached itself into the walls of it. OWIE! I'm a girl, but the thought just makes me suck in my breath & hold it!
Oh, the spider talk...EEEWWWW!!!! I'm deathly afraid of spiders, and this is a good thing for me to tell my DH, who whines every year about wanting a real tree. One more reason not to have one!
How's Paul doing today? Is he feeling better? Poor man...
Thanks for asking Wynette. The thing that used to be a cyst is healing up pretty nicely. He was throwing up yesterday morning, then was fine during the day and again this morning was sick again. I believe it the mega antibiotics he's taking.
Anyone know how to aleviate those barfy symptoms? He's taking sulfamethoxazole. One tab twice a day. Oh boy, it's a horse pill too. Maybe he should just take one before bed for now instead of twice a day. But I'm not a Doc, any suggestions out there?
have him eat something before he takes it or if he can to drink milk. my dd is on that for strep right now and if she does not eat before she takes it she will throw up every time.
I was all fine with the pictures of Mt Cyst. I was even fine with the after pics and the describing of smells. BUT the spider one got to me! You win I'm outta here!! Uhgg I hate spiders! LOL Hope your Dh gets to feeling better!
Quote: Walmart has a cheaper brand, but there is some liquid anti-nausea medicine. Take like a tablespoon, then wait 15 mins, take another tablespoon. Continue until symptoms stop.
It's probably the sickness leaving his body. Does it smell foody or does it smell sorta like the infection? That infection is throughout his body, and it all cant go away thru the same hole. lol
I think I know why he was feeling sick - I think I have to change the gauze more often. Why don't these "professionals" tell you that you have to change it? I did it on my own because it was getting disgusting, the Doc isn't seeing him til this Wednesday. When we were there on Fri they just said see you next Wed, no info on cleaning it, changing it or rinsing it out at all!
I'm kinda mad now. Paul yanked the gauze out today and he immediately started to feel better. I just came home and ate something, (I gotta wait awhile before I start the rinsing and stuffing of new gauze.) Now I'm thinking I should be doing this twice a day. That's not a problem for me but shouldn't somebody over at the Dr's office tell me what I should be doing?
He shouldn't have had to suffer like this. And now I feel like an idiot.
