Eww..yuck....ANOTHER NEW PIC !

Brown recluse rot you inside out, black widow's outside in.... just in case some did not know.
Nasty critters, all of them either way ya look at em!

When I had my hemotoma (blood clot) in my leg...I was told to change the gauze 2-3x a day.

I took a long q-tip and shoved it down my leg and left out a tail end for it to drain out into the fresh bandage until it healed.

I am sorry he did not inform you of this and I believe it was a major oversight.

It never hurts to call to talk to a nurse...it's thier job after all.

me,
g

Yes, I totally agree! Well, we figured it out, the hard way, but we did and with all the help on here, every time I checked in I got a lot of useful advice from everyone, so I do appreciate it.

When we go back on Wed we'll mention the "Ooops, we should mention some things to patients as they leave instructions" type literature.

And we pay for our own Ins as we are our own business, which ain't cheap; so you'd think for what we paid in we would get the manners of instructions at least. Anyway, we know what to do now, and we're on our way to the cutting out the sac and stitching up department.

........and yes Luna you rap that Dr's fingers for the oversight.... Paul might have ended up with blood poisening ........ waiting for the next update on Mt Cystet.....

Oh, I KNOW it, EC! I wanted to add that if it's sac removal day, please get pics of the "during" part...but didn't want to frighten Luna. I really AM normal....REALLY....(if I say it enough times, will you believe me?)

Actually, that's a good idea, I'm sure they won't mind if I snap a few during....

Wed is when he goes back, whether they do it then or not, we'll find out that day. So I'll bring my trusty camera with me just in case.

I took another shot of the wound after I pulled all the gauze out, I'll post it later today. I'm at a different computer here at work and don't have the uploads here.

That very well could be, EC. I do have a medical background...but office stuff (billing, payroll, work comp., etc.). I had a lot of nurse friends, and I DO recall being fascinated with some of the stories they'd tell...perhaps I'm a closet, wannabe, nurse!

OOOhhh...we look forward to new pics, Luna!
