Example of Buff gene (Toulouse)

I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but I made this picture a couple of years ago to help my customers understand how the Buff gene works in Toulouse geese. Most of this I found out through trial and error, but was also helped by some more experienced breeders in trying to figure it out.

The males are the only ones that can carry the recessive buff gene. Females are either grey or buff. Males carrying the buff gene, but not showing it will look just like any other grey goose. Experimental breeding is the only way to know for sure of the bird's genes.

He has gone even farther and created charts on the various colors found in sebastopols as well from lilac to lavender, buff, blue and saddleback pattern too
