In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We are new to chickens! Want to learn about the process first, but aiming to add 2 chicks to our family this weekend (7/27) and later transition them to our outside coop (already here in our Eureka rental).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
planning on 2
(3) What breeds do you have?
we don't know yet
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
taming the lovelies to sit in our laps and naming them after Stranger Things (and the eggs to boot)
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Football, cheerleading, teaching, art, yoga, gardening
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 2 doggies, 5 kids (some home, some flown): 2 middle schoolers, one sailor in the Navy, one rocker, and a young dad, live in a very old and lovely Eureka Craftsman Bungalow
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
We googled how to raise chickens and voila!
