@casportpony doesn't see the network the phone is connected to when setting up the Brinsea because it's a hidden network (non broadcast SSID) - the Brinsea setup doesn't seem to allow entering the network name manually (or I missed that setting)

Didn't matter anyway as I wanted to have the Brinsea on its own Wifi network, so I just created a wifi network (and password) just for it

The farmer across the road shows up on ours in our wifi settings so Brinsea brought up both theirs and ours, making me choose.

I had to run through their steps I believe 5 times before it finally would work. I kept seeing the wifi connected on the incubator, but the app would show I had no devices. So, I'd start over, again, and again. Maybe I was doing something wrong because it did work, eventually!

How exciting!

It is. I'm like a little kid when I've got eggs in an incubator or chicks in the brooder!

But having the incubator on my phone is over the top. I can see myself waking up in the middle of the night wondering if anything is wrong and checking it over in a couple of seconds without getting out of bed. Yes, temp, humidity, turning, and motor are all okay. Go back to sleep; Brinsea's got this!
