Hi all!
I have rescued four mallard ducklings from four different mommas. The second oldest imprinted on humans. He was dropped by a larger bird as a fresh hatchling. He was doing great until a few days ago. I have been noticing some developmental delays compared to the other three.
He is growing slower, laying around a lot more, when they get swim time he gets tired very quickly, he isn't running and playing with the others as much, and he just isn't himself.
He is eating his special duckling starter for, peas, carrots, spinach, strawberries, apples, and peeled grapes. His droppings are normal but I have noticed some straight liquid, milky excretions. I'm concerned he may be going downhill. He is very special and I'm extremely concerned.
Is there anything I can do? I have been giving him electrolytes in his water. How else can I help him?

Hi. Are you providing grit with the treats you give They can struggle to digest food that aren’t regular feed pellets without it. Are you giving any nutritional yeast or brewers yeast with the feed ? Some ducklings need more niacin then others
Usually white Liquid like poo is a sign of constipation.
I had this happen when I feed to many treats then they didn’t eat the proper amount of feed.
I was trying to spoil my drake when his lady was busy sitting on eggs and he was lonely.
Once I cut back the treats his poo went back to normal.

I agree with what @New duck mommy 2021 and @RosemaryDuck
I would cut out the treats for a bit, and perhaps start supplementing niacin through nutritional yeast, 1tbsp to 1 cup of feed.
How is his walking? Is he lying down a lot? Pigeon toed?
