I thought I would share the progress of these birds. These are aproximately eight weeks old. I have never posted photos, so I am not certain that this attempt will be succesful. If it is, I will post another batch at four weeks. Please share your thoughts.

Looks like they are growing out very nicely! I love that barring! I hope they all turn out so nice!

One of my BR hens is broody, so I am anxious to see how good of a mama she will be. She growls at me and pecks me if I dare look under her.

These are not the best marked out of the first batch (so far). They are the largest at this stage. Good News on the hen going broody. I have been hopeful.

We only paid $10 for this big boy! & then BAM! He was gone! with in a month,Because we love to watch our fowl free range.

Never Again I tell you will I free range ! with out adult supervision that is

We were able to hatch 1 egg, which of course as luck would have it

ended up being an excellent pullet

& still no roo
