My mother had her tubes tied after my OLDER sister was born - yet here I am!!

She always said I was a gift she had asked not to have!!

Don't say that. I had my tubes tied and I am fixing to be a grandma... I don't want anymore babies of my own......... I hope that doesn't happen to me...​

How old was she?
I wanted mine done after my 2nd (I was 19/20 at the time) and they said I was too young and they dont really do that till people are in their late 20s because the tubes will repair themselves

I had mine tied at 24... they removed about 3 inches off each side, then tied and cauterized the ends... if i ever manage to get pregnant again, it's probable that both the baby and I will die, unless terminated right away... so, on one hand I really hope I don't get pregnant again, on the other hand.. i want a baby!!!

Congratulations on your latest miracle, I'm terribly jealous, but really happy for you!!!

Same thing happened to me. I had my tubes tied after my second girl and, wouldn't you know it, two years later here comes a boy! Talk about a shocker! I don't think I really even accepted it until after he was born!​

It was meant to be. Period. Good luck. Sleep will be something of a faint memory for you, but you will get through it. I had a 5 year old, 17 month old and then surprise twins. Then a fifth came along 2 years later . . .best years of my life. I would go back in a heartbeat.
