Last night I put in the geese, I moved the little ducklings, I closed in the young ducks, I closed in the older ducks and laying flock. However I forgot to shut in the "chicks" 2 and 3 months old. I had 35 "chicks" and now have 18. 17 dead birds. Most are just missing their heads and crops. Raccoons are awful.

It is not cheap to feed that many birds for this amount of time. Wow. What a big mistake.

I understand your pain. I went outside the one day and my dog was nice enough to of killed five of my Brahma chicks. Dumb things were able to squeeze out under the door. I also had a coyote try to kill my Leghorns just a couple weeks ago. Let's just say that coop won't be staying open any more.
