Explain Ameraucanas to me

I want a Blue Wheaton and a Blue Ameraucana hen! I've been wandering around Ameraucana websites and they're gorgeous! Oh well, I'm happy with my mutts, hopefully they won't lay brown eggs! :|
 
I love mine even though they are not tame I am raising more up from chicks this fall so they will be tame.
