Extended broodiness?

You are correct--2 days now and zero change--I'm a softie I guess, and don't like keeping her in there...
I get it. But to me it's kinder to get them over their broodiness than let them sit, knowing they won't get to hatch anything, and have them also potentially upsetting the flock and their standing in the flock with their behavior.

Update: Day 3 and I think we're through it. This AM, I checked food and water, and she seemed a tiny bit upset with me getting near the cage, but this afternoon, she seemed back to normal--amazing how slim she looks (normal) when she's not all puffed up!

I let her out of the cage, and she immediately joined the others, and even though there was a egg in the laying box, she did not go there, but stayed out with the others. So fingers crossed...Thanks for those who offered useful advice!

:thumbsup

And if she does relapse (some of them do like to sneak back into the nest one more time), usually 1 more day will be enough to break her completely.
