Hello
has anyone pipped their eggs after day 22.After candling i still see movements. Has any one pipped to help..These last few hatches I have had several (lots) of birds die because of not being able to pip..I have in creased hatching humidity up to mid 80. Yet all have died in the past. I was wonder if you could assist if you still see movement and if any recommendations.

Have they internally pipped? Are you hearing chirping? I think they say it's up to a day between internal and external pip?

Today is day 21 for my eggs and when I candle the not yet hatched one's I see movement and I can hear a thump and chirping when I hold the egg to my ear.

If you want to assist it I would wait to be sure after I see movement they start hatching a few hours later some haven't but if I were you I would wait. Hope I could help. :caf

Thats the deal here..I have waited on my last 5 hatches with poor results while sitting on my hands...I think lockdown is for the birds....

I would less concerned with the day number and more with how long theyve been hanging out after internal pip. Has it been a day since they entered the air cells?

I had a couple guys two hatches ago who chirped but never externally pipped and died. Was so upsetting! I lost every egg that year due to drowning. Is it possible your thermometer is off and the inc is at a lower temp than you think? Perhaps humidity is too high during incubation?

little over 24 hrs..In the last 5 at temp @ hatching,,I get pips then they dry out,,I have even put warm cloths on the side to help soften them up..Seems to work .I have had two that were wrapped ,,real bad,,i assisted and they are bouncing around great. I like to wait to the last available moment.. But I have had way to many die after pipping. This is why i say lock down is a joke,,really Especial this yr...I have super dry air here @ my place.I got humidity jacked up to 82% @ the moment..I was wondering if anyone has pipped these kinda eggs themselves...?
