Extra fluffy jumbo white?

My second hatch I have one chick that is noticeably floofier than it’s hatchmates of the same order. Does anyone know if it will affect its adult plumage? I love it! Here’s a normal one and the fluffy one for comparison.

There is a “curly feather” gene in some lines of coturnix I am not overly familiar with it nor how it looks in the chick phase but @CoturnixComplex would be my best idea to help answer your question! It is definitely an adorable little one!!!!

I know almost nothing about quail but oh my goodness that is one cute little bird. Looks like somebody took a hair dryer to it! I want one

yes! they are so cute as adults! (i couldn't resist looking up pictures of one of them as grown ups!)

I can't wait to see what it looks like as an adult! Now I have to go look up photos of curly quails because I'm definitely about that life. They just entered their week old "ugly" phase so we will see how little yellow floof feathers out!
