Extra food suggestions?

Nearly out of chick starter feed and unable to get more until next Friday or Saturday.
I made the stupid mistake of declining to buy feed along with 3 two week old BO chicks today. I assumed we had enough but we don't and I feel terrible.

What else can I feed them that will be enough until I'm able to buy more feed?

I will post photos of the chicks later or tomorrow.

You'll want to ration that feed. Split it into about 8 portions, and give one portion a day, alongside whatever else you give them.
Fruit and veggies are good, except citrus and onions. They need protein, too. Bugs are ideal, but if you can't get bugs, meat should be fine for a week.
Do you have any birdseed like wild birds get? Any nuts?
Be sure to give them grit. If you don't have any chicken grit, get them a big bowl of coarse dirt from outside.

I’ve herd of people giving cat food/dog food. I don’t know if this is good for them or not but it will have meaty protein. Maybe if you crushed some up. That is if you have some available to use.

I find worms for our outside flock sometimes whenever I'm spending time with them. We also have dried mealworms that we recently got that I put in with the chick starter.

We have Bar Ale Poultry feed for our outside flock.

Chicks love mealworms! Sometimes you can crush up a little of the adult feed, depending on the amount of calcium in the feed. Chicks don’t need as much calcium as they put in most layer feed.
