Adding to the list of emergency options offered above, I've tried to think about what you might already have in your kitchen: You can also put popcorn, raw rice, dried PEAS (not beans) into a blender and grind that down to add to your 'emergency' food supplies for the week. Applesauce, yogurt (preferably plain), grated cheese, canned sardines (or other canned fish, packed in oil or water, serve it with the liquid as lots of nutrients are in that and would bind the powdery bits of feed that you have left for the week so that the dust doesn't just blow away), hamburger, appropriately sized fruit and veggie bits (check the treats page on the forum), they like canned fruit & veggies too, but caution on salt content on those veggies / sugar content on canned fruits. Grated carrots and taters are often overlooked and mine just **love** them. Cooked spaghetti, unsalted, perhaps add a pat of butter to the finished noodles to provide some fats. Almost anything leftover from your dinner will work as an add-in during this crisis. This list isn't for an every-day forever diet, but will work 'in a pinch', for the time-frame that you're talking about. By week's end, you'll have a very good idea of your flocks favorites too.
