There are many, many places online to print coupons. There are trading groups you can join thru yahoo groups. You can 'pay for clipping services' and receive coupons from several websites (it is illegal to sell coupons or buy coupons but you can pay someone to cut them out for you. If you print internet coupons (and I used to regularly) know that most expire 30 days from the print date. Some sites will only be allowed to print a limited # of coupons, say only 10,000. That sounds like a lot but really, they go fast. Many stores also no longer accept internet printed coupons due to lots of fraud where someone has tampered with the coupon and changed the amount off.

Coupons vary greatly from region to region, which is why in part people trade them. Because of all the trading and such that goes on, you will notice that the expiration dates on coupons is now usually 30 days from publication or at most 60 days. This keeps people from trading them and encourages people to impulse buy because the coupon is about to expire.

One of my favorite coupon sites is couponmom.com. Another that friends like to use is thegrocerygame.com, but it is not free like couponmom.

and I wanted to add that this is a "reality" show where things are set up to make better drama. no store that I know of would let you use that many coupons at one time or even in one day. the registers are designed to take 500 scans and then they lock up or they get to a certain dollar amount and lock up as well, which I think happened to j'aime.

I think it is a horrible model to show someone committing coupon fraud on camera!! coupons are coded a certain way, and some will work for other name brands ( like the cereal) when they state a different one, but using them for a product that isn't specified in the wording of the coupon, is considered coupon fraud. but I am sure that TLC and the stores overlooked that fact, for the sake of drama and entertainment.

It's great to stockpile. but they were a bit overboard. Store sales and coupons reaccure about every 4 to 6 weeks. I try to stock up on enough cheap things for 2 to 3 months that way they will last me through to the next sale cycle. but what I have excess of I do tend to send home with my parents or friends. My DH still rolls his eyes a bit, when I come home with lots of things....but he still likes eating them!

in this cabinet I have stocked up for some time. but 90% of it I got with a coupon and for less than $.75 or free.

there are 20 boxes of cereal (for ever 3 boxes of special k cereal I bought I got a coupon for free milk! so I stocked up on both!)
15 boxes of storage bags(.50 each)
6 boxes of popcorn(free)
10 canisters of plain oatmeal(.65 each)
lots of brown sugar and confectioners sugar(.24 each)
bread flour(.19 each)
7 grain pancake mix (best pancakes ever!)(FREE)
salsa (should be in another cabinet) (.49)
jello(free)
taco shells(.25)
cookie mix(.67)

and all of this will get used at some point

the thing about expiration dates on stuff like this is, it just means the store can't sell it past that date because the manufacturer can't guarantee freshness past it. but usually products are good 3 to 6 months more so that gives you plenty of time to eat it. we go through at least a box of cereal a week here between two kids, snacks and such. it's not that realistic when you think about it, wouldn't you stock up if you were getting something super cheap?

www.coupons.com www.smartsource.com www.redplum.com and many manufacturer sites have lots of coupons on there, alls you have to do is clip promotions/offers and print away! these are what i frequently use
also for forums and blog sites I use www.hotcouponworld.com. it is very much like byc in the information that they provide for everytype of store you may shop at!

also wanted to add, that I usually send stuff home with anyone that comes to visit me, if they need anything. and when we go to the beach and stay with my sister in law and her family (for free) I always bring her lots of stuff as a thank you and a form a payment! she is very appreciative

I probably have a years worth of Toothpaste (all free) Toothbrushes (also free) deodorant (most free) shave gel (never pay more then .50 each!), hand soap dispensers and refills, laundry soap, shampoo/conditioner and bodywash. It's my latest "keep me from being bored" endeavor!

The 'mustard lady' was just wrong.....and that was wayyy too expensive for more then 1 bottle! Definitely NOT a stockpile price! That woman just baffles me!

I never do multiple transactions! I think it's rude. I will go to my truck, unload my cart and come back in if I need more stuff. (you wont catch me in a dumpster either!)
My latest shopping trip was $120 worth of groceries for $41.86.....I did a "real" trip though. With produce, meat and milk....things I didn't have coupons for. (my store doubles coupons, but only accepts 12 like coupons...so I can only buy 12 of the same things. This week I got 11 Renolyds aluminum foils, but they were free.)

This week, walgreens has free airwick systems if you get the coupons out of Sundays paper. There were total toothpaste coupons in last weeks paper so they're free this week too. Starting today ballpark hot dogs will be .50 a pack with a coupon from your Redplum insert the last weekend in March.

In this weeks newspaper inserts....you should have got Nivea coupons. Some people got $3 off....Nivea is only $3 at walmart right now, so its free!

So, if I bought 4 newspapers this week....I get to do every deal 4 times. That's how the stock-ups start!

Also: did you know that walmart, target, walgreens, rite aid, dollar general, family dollar and Kmart all accept manufacturers coupons now?

Watched Extreme Couponing last night, I love that black lady's high five dancing in the store and advise folks to do the same. LOL!

Honestly I don't know if I can do that kind of extreme but woudl love to stock up on toliet paper, paper towels and soap bars so I can get a ten year supply. Where would I put all that stuff? LOL!

Seeing that young couple, her husband didn't like all those noodles and kept saying Its ridiculous....I think they are heading in the wrong direction.

I LOVE this, and I agree its a "clean" type of hoarding . . .the thing that sort of worries me is this: we are going to be living in more and more desperate times. People who live in the areas these people are in, KNOW them or would be able to find out where they live and rob them . . .just a thought. I coupon ALOT and save ALOT but our stores don't do such wonderful offers like some of these do on these shows, but going to start going to a class again and learning more and more tips . . .a store manager told me years ago that is everyone used coupons on everything at the same time, that company would go broke. Wonder if that was true?

I love coupons...who doesn't? LOL But I do think it is morally wrong to use coupons/deals that actually credit you back money. Not only are you getting it free, but the store owes you a buck? For what? Shopping??

It may be free to that person, but we all know how it really works. The companies/stores will just pass on the costs to the rest of us who don't need to hoard condiments and toothpaste.
