That sounds a bit tight for 6 5 week olds, could you give them an additional 'run' section? Add on a bit?

You mentioned it's been cold, how is it cold where you are? Maybe let them out side for the day & bring them in-if you have the run outside secure.

ok, but I'm pretty sure it's a Pullet..... That being said, I haven't owned brahmas before

I let the have some outside time to day, and I tried the two finger thing..it worked!!!!

I've had really good success with the poking thing. It works pretty good on young cockerels too
