Extremely uncaring sister...her dog kills my chicken and its my faul

I am so sorry for your loss, and that your family doesn't seem to understand. It is not your fault, but since it is obvious your sisters and mother have no intention of protecting your chickens from the dogs, perhaps you should consider having a fenced in run for the times you aren't there to look after them?

Anyone that owns a dog is responsible for what it does--period!!! In most states the least that would happen is they would have to make financial restitution, the most would be to have the dog put down. If some one owns a dog they should train and control it.

And i am already making a new run for the birds. I am making a 4x8 coop that i can move around and i am going to attach it to my 12x12 kennel...they will be able to stay in it during the day and i will let them out to free range a few hours before it gets dark and when i do that i will lock up Koda whether my sister likes it or not! I hope this works!

SSS or call the pound saying it was a stray dog.. I wouldn't put up with that crap from my sister.. luckly she's moved out.

Sounds like she ust keeps getting more and more dogs... I'd tell her that if she doesn't keep the dog penned she might dig under the fence and be lost forever. Three strikes and she's out!

Oh, well I guess talking doesn't help then

. I hope your solution to the problem works. I still suggest, especially now that I know she just hates your animals, that you padlock the doors to your coop/run and keep the keys with you. I wish you the best of luck!​
