I have a Rhode Island Red that was doing fine yesterday but is now extremely weak/tired looking. It's been up in the 105 degree zone the past few days and I think that might be the main factor. She layed down in a very tight spot with shade. I found her on the ground and when I picker her up there was an egg under her. my theory after that was she tried to lay an egg and completely exhausted herself. All of my chickens pant (I expect it because of the temperatures) but this specific girl was doing more of a shivering jaw motion. I brought er up to the water and she didn't drink, I brought her to the food and she didn't eat. I got out a hose and simulated rain on her. It didn't seem to help. She can stand but she can't walk well. should I take her inside somewhere where there is A/C?
