Hey all. I need help with my Roosters eye. It’s infected. The swollen area is soft and squishy, not hard. It doesn’t appear there’s any sort of hard puss ball deep inside. He is not sneezing, and has no symptoms of any respiratory illness, and none of his flock mates have any respiratory symptoms either. He was fighting with his brother a lot last week, and I do believe it’s an injury. I have flushed it, cleaned it, applied Terramycin ointment 2x/day for 4 days now. It’s very hard to get the ointment inside the eye as the swelling is so bad. I can only get it on the upper/outer portion. He’s very sensitive to me touching it as I’m sure it’s very painful. Would you recommend I continue flushing and applying Terramycin? I also have Neopolydex and tobramycin drops if anyone thinks I should switch. He’s currently separated and eating/drinking great. Just would love to fix his eye. Photo attached. Thanks all.
