First year with six chickens I raised from babes in February. This is Gracie the blue Wyandotte, she seems to be the first to have any kind of problem, thankfully she's also the most cooperative...

She's otherwise healthy and even laid an egg today. Yesterday I noticed the closed eye and picked her up to examine and she opened her eye, it was clear, so I assumed she just had some dirt or whatever. Today eye is closed, dripping and when she opens, it's white and cloudy. Only other observation is her poop watery with green chunks.

Today I applied Tomlyn Opticlear Sterile Eye Wash for dogs and cats..it says it flushes dirt. Did I make a mistake? What else should I do?

All the other hens are fine. They free range. San Diego.

Thank you, I did see this advice in another thread but TSC does not ship Terramycin to CA..I will visit local feed store and see what I can get. TSC is a trek.
TSC won't have it because it requires a prescription in California. However, you can buy it from pigeon supply websites, so call this place, they are actually in Irvine, CA, so shipping won't take as long.

Three days of applying Terramycin ointment...seems worse, she seems in pain and doesn't want to leave the coop. When should I see an improvement and what else can I do?

Is a vet an option? That would be best. If not, you could try some enrofloxacin (Baytril). It is banned for use in poultry, so you should read up on that before if you think you want to use it.
