One more question please. It appears that this is some type of Respiratory Infection, and from what I have read, there a few different ones, but with any of them, culling the infected birds is advised. I read that some birds will be a carrier, but not ever actually get ill. My question is, the hens I culled, I am sure I have some of their eggs in the incubator right now(I just do not know which ones are theirs), will this be passed on to the baby chicks that hatch? I am not going to discard this batch, as I have 22 eggs, and since many birds can be a carrier of any one of the respiratory infections affecting chickens, I am going to have to take my chances and keep culling any infected birds. So far, it has only affected one baby chic that was from my flock(I am thinking I transfered it to that one chic, while I was holding it-probably from my shirt, the rest of the infected were from the 5 hens I just purchased(2 remain) So far, everyone else appears very healthy. I wonder how much time needs to pass, before you can say you are in the clear?
