Eye injury what do I do?

My Marans roo recently managed to injure his eye but it had seemed to be healing fine today I checked it and it is really swollen and has a white pus in the eye socket if anyone has any idea how to remedy this please help. Thx in advance

Pus is not a good sign. Haven't had to deal with an issue like that, but I'd suggest finding a way to rinse the pus out. Antibiotics sound like a good idea in this case since pus = active infection. Hope he makes it!

You can use saline solution to rinse debris from the eye. If the pus turns white harder cottage cheese like, you will have to massage it out of the eye or it will keep it from healing and keep building up putting pressure on the eye. You can then apply neosporine or terramycin eye sav to the eye. If you're sure it was an injury and not respitory systems ( you can take a listen to the side of it's chest, under wing, for weezing/crackling ) then just keep an "eye" on it and reapply as needed.

Thanks for the help he managed to hit his eye on some wire that I had left sticking into the pen area carelessly. I will use the saline and antibiotics and hope that clears it up thanks so much for your help had never had this happen before.

I had an eye-injured chicken, and I used some erythromycin that was left over from one of my siblings having conjuctivitis. It worked wonderfully! his eye cleared right up. My mom also used it once on a dog with pus in his eye, also with good results.
