Eye Issue

Hi all!

I have a 3 month old Speckled Sussex with some sort of eye issue/injury. She has one eye that she seems to keep closed all the time. We've had her since a few days after she hatched, but just now noticed the eye and can't say how long she's been having this issue. She was one of about 30 chicks we got and we don't have any issues with any of the others. I haven't noticed any discharge or crusting around the eye. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Looks like a possible eye infection. Call your feed store and ask for Terramycin eye antibiotic. After flushing the eye with saline each day, place a little ointment in the eye two times a day until it clears up.
