Eye Problem (pictures included)

I don't have any advice but she looks like she has more going on than just the eye.. but I'm pretty new to this stuff still so I could be wrong.. (not familiar with Araucanas) She looks pretty rough all over - why is she so red all the way down her front?

I hope she is doing better!!

Thanks again for all the replies, it's great to hear other people's views and reassuring words. It does seem a little better today, she is keeping it open most of the time and appears to be able to see a bit better too.
It still has the pink bit and seems a little swollen. but she is acting as usual so am trying not to worry too much.
She was looking a bit rough when we got her as she had been part of a breeding trio. She has since started going through a neck moult but seems in no hurry to replace the feathers. I have read that it is the skins normal reaction to go quite red when exposed to sunlight so I am hoping it is nothing more than moulting and that her neck feathers will grow back fully on her next moult.
I have thought about other causes of feather loss but we have recently treated the coop for red mite as we found quite a population developed when one of the hens went broody, and I havent seen any of the others pecking at her so am still thinking it is most likely just part of the moulting process.

Will continue to keep an eye on her and let you all know if there are any changes.
Good luck to those you also with poorly hens.

Ells
