My rooster has had this swollen lump on his eye for almost a month now, I tried a round of antibiotics but it didn’t help, I have him away from all the other chickens in his own little cage, does anyone know what this is or how to treat it? He doesn’t act sick and gets along just fine, he’s still running off the other roosters from the flock so it doesn’t seem to bother him.

Wow, that is a big swelling. He also has bubbles in his eye. Both of those might be a sign of a respiratory disease called MG ( mycoplasma gallisepticum.) The swollen area can be from a swollen sinus or a cyst. How does it feel when you press on it—soft or firm? Do you know how long he has had this, and have you added any new birds to your flock recently? What antibiotic did you give and for how long? Can you look up into the roof of his mouth at the slit and tell us if there is any pus there?

I forgot to welcome you to BYC. If the swelling is due to pus inside the sinus, sometimes it can be squeezed out in a few sessions. There can be other bacteria in the eye that can cause swelling, but MG can be common. Cleaning the eye with a warm moist cloth and then puttin some Terramycin eye ointment (available in many feed stores by asking for it, or ordering it online) would be helpful. Here is an article to read about MG:

Howdy. I use a heat extracted cannabis oil in a medium chain triglyceride coconut oil medication to treat all things where I would have previously considered a round of antibiotics. If this is legal in your area I would humbly suggest giving it a try.
I have not personally experienced treating an abscess like the one pictured but have had marvelous results with many other ailments and injury. I also use a tea made from Chaga mushroom to quickly and safely treat any swelling. You can rinse the eye and add to the drinking water for a few days. Chickens drink it right up.
Both if these things in conjunction promote healing while fending off infection and create comfort. Fantastic immune boosters.
I have a roo that had a growth on his eyeball that was not resolved after 2 weeks of antibiotics. It continued to grow and ooze. 3 days of cannabis drops fixed him right up.
I would not rule out the options mentioned above. Good information to consider and follow up on. I'm suggesting using these natural treatments in addition to anything else you do. They always yield great results with all of my animals with no unpleasantness.

It’s firm when I’ve pressed it, he got it the day I added him to my coop, I got it from my mothers as I had just lost my only rooster, the next morning it appeared, I gave him diocyclene 50mg for a little over a week, and there doesn’t seem to be any Pus on the top of his mouth

Doxycycline can treat symptoms of MG. Does it seem like he may have been pecked near the eye, and developed an abscess? I don’t know how you feel about trying to either squeeze out pus from the eye, or possibly lancing the large swollen area to see if there is pus inside? I am not a vet, and vet care is always the best, but sometimes not possible.
