Eye Swollen Shut, multiple chickens affected, help!!

Ok, so I need to continue flushing, I didnt this morning, just put more ointment on, but will at lunch time. So if they continue to get better and no one else is affected you think I am ok with not getting the antibiotic?

Yes, I would continue with flushing, remove any pus/debris each time (sometimes pus needs to be pushed out) and apply the ointment (2-3 times a day).

If you are noting improvement and they are getting better over the next few days, then antibiotics may not be needed at all.

Wow, this morning I got a huge clump of white gunk out of the dom's eye. It was hard, my goodness no wonder her poor eye is swollen. I am hoping now we'll really start to see improvement. The polish has both eyes open now and doing a lot better.

That's great!
That clump you got out was pus, in chickens, pus is usually hard or semi-hard and it doesn't dry up on it's own, so you did good by removing that:)
You may have more that needs to be pressed out over the next few days, so look for that too.

I was at my local TSC yesterday, and found Tylan 200 which is 4 times stronger than Tylan 50, so you may want to look around and ask a clerk for it. You would need syringes and needles. Good job getting the pus out of the eye—it sounds like something hard to do.

@Wyorp Rock we lost the polish this morning. I dont understand what happened, she was doing so much better, her eyes were both open good, she ate and drank really good before bed last night and then this morning she was gone.
What does this mean as far as what the eye condition is? The dom. seems ok, she is moving around and eating this morning. Her one eye still isn't open, but I got more pus out of is this morning. I am looking all over for the Tylan, calling every store within a 30 mile radius and not having any luck.

Has anyone bought medicine on line from a Santa Cruz Animal Health in Texas? ITs the only place I can find Tylan50 in stock, I have looked everywhere...

I'm so sorry that you lost the Polish :hugs

Tylan50 is hard to find right now, did you see any Tylan200 on the shelves - you can use that it's just 4X as strong, but we can help you with the dosing.
I have not used Santa Cruz Animal Health before, I do see where they require an Rx if shipping to CA, so you may not be able to get it there either. CA has a lot of restrictions.

You can also use Tylosin (Tylan) powder, it can be ordered online https://www.jedds.com/shop/tylan-soluble-100-g/
