Blaze thought for a moment before replying, this hen was making him mad and was making him spill some of his darkest secrets. "She was about to find something she shouldn't have." he said simply.

"I know what you are thinking, " Blaze growled. "If i can kill all of my male spouse and hurt Jay, then I can kill you too." He growled menacingly.

Toad flinched at this. But his hackles rose and his spurs stiffened, he looked twice his size.

Eerie straightened. “I suppose you could. But what would it earn you? A war? Or just the satisfaction of hurting innocent, pretty, young females? Our flock leader will be back any minute, and I’m just sure he wouldn’t find that acceptable.”

Eerie straightened. “I suppose you could. But what would it earn you? A war? Or just the satisfaction of hurting innocent, pretty, young females? Our flock leader will be back any minute, and I’m just sure he wouldn’t find that acceptable.”

Toad had enough, he left Eerie's side and flung himself at Blaze. For a moment, Blaze was caught off guard, but then he flogged and Toad felt feathers rip and blood trickle down his breast.

Blaze scoffed. "By the time he gets here, Jay will be dead." He said as he moved closer to Jay threateningly. Jay flinched.

“Oh? Why is that? You’ve returned Jay to her flock, we thank you for that. But you have no right to kill her on her own land.”
No longer sheltering chicks, Eerie stepped forward, unfazed. She knew exactly what she was doing.
Suddenly, she felt Toad rush past her. In a blur of feathers, he lashed out at Blaze. But Blaze hit him right back, and Toad was sent skidding. She saw his blood splatter into the ground.

Toad struggled up, but Blaze was on top of him, digging his long spurs into Toad's flesh. Toad screeched in pain and raised is feet up with such force it knocked Blaze to the ground. Toad was on him in seconds flogging him, feathers flew around them as they took turns flogging.

Blaze felt blood trickling down his comb onto his beak. He screeched in pain as Toad stripped flesh off his thigh. He saw his own blood spatter on the ground.

“Oh? Why is that? You’ve returned Jay to her flock, we thank you for that. But you have no right to kill her on her own land.”
No longer sheltering chicks, Eerie stepped forward, unfazed. She knew exactly what she was doing.
Suddenly, she felt Toad rush past her. In a blur of feathers, he lashed out at Blaze. But Blaze hit him right back, and Toad was sent skidding. She saw his blood splatter into the ground.

“Stop!” She shrieked. “Stop, both of you.”
She cleared her throat, then stated: “Blaze. That’s your name, right? You may not challenge Dawnflock males on their own soil without conversing with Snowberry, our leader.”
She rounded on Toad. “Toad, as much as I want to do the same, it is not within our rights to attack him without Snowberry’s permission. Please!” She cried as the males flew at each other once again.
