Ruby chuckled during her egg call then flew out to the clearing. She kept on doing the egg call.

“Hey! What do you make of that silver chick?” She said as Sparrow stalked away. Sage definitely noticed Duck’s eyes light up at the mention of her.

Fern watched her chicks. Moon and River bounced around her. Spark was perched on her back, watching over them. Pine was snuggled under her, and Frost was off in a corner looking for things to snack on, like bugs.
I love my babies. She thought happily.
