Eerie spread out a wing to steady Fang. “Fang, as your superior in the hierarchy, I am ordering you to get some rest.” She looked into Fang’s hazy eyes.

Ruby looked at Fang and nodded her head. "I agree." She said with kind eyes.

Fang blinked confusedly at the racoon above her. It chittered angrily. Horrified, she ran backwards, bumping into a fox (Ruby) on the way. Squacking in terror, she flew up into the dark mouth of her burrow. Blinking twice, she felt the shade cool over her. "This isn't right" She said to herself. "Good chickens are awake at day."

"Whoa!" Ruby said and fell over on her side. She got up and turned around to look at Percy, for she forgot that he was even there.

“That bird needs sleep.” She said, stalking off and muttering to herself about evil roosters and dead flock mates.
