Jasper snarled and grabbed the hatchling, sinking his claws into it

Geralda tried to ignore the wounds in her wing and she whipped Jasper's hands hard, forcing him to release his grip just slightly. She pulled the hatchling back out from under him and hissed.

The dragon looked at the human, alarmed. It had been peacefully sleeping a moment ago. "Whaaaaa?!!?!"

She took off and landed on the human, smothering it and its gun.
