I remembered it because I wanted to get rid of some characters. I'd rather not kill them off though, but will if it comes to that, any ideas as to reasoning behind their disappearance?

Lit up by the soft, bluish glow of the late evening's full moon, a small figure, a lovely Great Blue Heron; stood in the water of the nearby lake, wading it's long, thin legs through the shallow shore waters as it listened to the hustle and bustle of the dragon clan above, it's thoughtful, yellow eyes peering up now and then. Godric laid on the edge of the cliff, his wing dangling off of the edge. He awoke as he felt the presence of magic in their midst. Looking down below, he saw the bird, and eyed it suspiciously.

The bird's yellow eyes mysteriously glinted like chips of gold, before the bird saw them staring and looked away, plunging it's head into the water to catch a silver fish speeding by. "I don't know," he chuckled, "Maybe I'm just... seeing things again."
