Jasper was annoyed by Sapphire's bubbles. "Stop that now." he said.

A shape in the distance could be made out, getting closer.

She sneezed, sending bubbles at him.

"Hi, um... Who are you? I have Sapphire here." Opal said kindly.

"Oh, come on!" Jasper snarled. He shut the peek hole and swam out to Opal. He overheared her calls to the shape.

The shape reached them. It could now be made out as a very dark blue sea serpent, flowing black fins trailing behind her body. "I am Onyx." She said, her voice as smooth as a well worn rock.

Sapphire knocked over the bowl of fish with a loud clatter.
