The serpent saw him and lunged upward.

It's coils left the breathless Frill gasping and wrapped Jasper in their grip.

His jaws locked around the serpents body and he shook it, making it loosen its grip. He wriggled free and pushed Frill away, barring his teeth at it

It pushed itself up and spit, slowly it slunk back.

Frill stood.

He copied its movements, watching until it was out of sight. Then he turned to Frill, his eyes blazing

"J-jasper" Frill gasped as she watched the retreating serpent.

Jasper picked her up and lifted her onto his back before jumping into the sky, away from the serpent. He landed in a small patch of trees just inside the SparkClan border. "You alright?" He asked her

 

[duckluv]

A growl echoed from higher up. A flame shot down at Jasper, burning his wings. "Leave." A stern voice snarled.
