The bushes surrounding the Gryphon rustled loudly as the beast leapt out, claws outspread, and it pounced. She dodged it just barely, at least avoiding being pinned down and ripped to pieces, but she had a long gash on her rib. She spread her wings in a fan and paced, on them were beautiful patterns that resembled the eyes of an owl magnified, and the beast paced backward and gingerly pawed at her feet. She hissed and raised her wings higher, her hissing increasing in volume as she boldly paced closer. The beast paced backward further until it's rump was pressed against a tree with a thud. Since it was cornered she flapped and leapt into the air, raking her sharp claws against it's face before again displaying her intricately patterned wings.
