The ultimate goal is to reach herd immunity. To do so we need enough of society to have gotten sick and recovered. If we all wear masks to prevent people from getting sick we will never reach herd immunity.
You will not shame me into submission. I have to wear a mask to protect everyone else.... hmmm ok.... 4.4 million car accidents last year caused 40k deaths but everyone drove to the store. I'll make u a deal I'll wear mask and you stop all other drivers so the road is safe for me.

Because we have a deadly virus going around that’ll probably kill us and everyone we know if we don’t listen. Like seriously, it’s a virus. The government just wants everyone to be safe during these times, and people complaining about having to do something everyone else chooses to do because they are just decent people isn’t helping.

Oh but it isn't deadly. Maybe for people in bad health but they could have died from a cold or flu. If you are old or in bad health stay home. If you are sick stay home. If you are healthy then do what you want but stay away from older people or sick people or people at risk. I know plenty of people who got it and got through it quickly. They didn't die. They're fine. Face masks aren't protecting us from a deadly virus. They are doing nothing against a new sickness like a cold.

Actually, I've seen stores that say exactly that. Sometimes it's on a sign. It's often on their website too. For example:
"all Costco members and guests must wear a face covering that covers their mouth and nose at all times while at Costco. This requirement does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to individuals who are unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition."

That's pretty clear. Which makes my choices clear too: wear a mask, or don't go in that store (or other business.) I could stay home, order online, use curbside pickup, do without--or just cover my face, as requested.

So why is it ok to spread covid just because a face covering worsens your medical condition ? Just because you have asthma it's ok for you to spread covid? If covid is that dangerous asthmatics should not leave the house. This is only political

And... most of the numbers coming out now are not showing other reasons of death. Every reason of death is now Covid related. (Those were 2017 numbers)

Yes. If people just wore masks and were decent people this thing would’ve ended in the US by now. It’s just all the entitled brats of this country feel they have the rights to KILL people. I can’t. I juts literally can’t. A mask costs like five bucks online. Covid-19 medical treat costs an average of 30,000 for a mild case. Do the math people. It’s really not worth it.
