I play this game too, but I don't really enjoy it. I only play it because a friend invited me and she was a little bit pushy about it. Don't get me wrong, I've had fun, but it is one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. It's so clunky! And I know exactly why it's addictive: it's because you feel compelled to return so that your harvests don't go to waste. Not because it's so much fun. I hate feeling like a game is on my duties list...I have too many duties in life as it is!
On that note, I think I've found a way to make Farm Town more enjoyable and less of a pressured situation for me: I'm going to turn my whole farm into orchards. That way, I don't have to plow or plant (both of which seem like they're really poorly designed). No crops will go to waste, and I'll still make a little bit of money. I just want to keep planting until I can level up to get a slightly larger plot. After something like level 20, I don't think you get any benefits from continuing to level up, but I could be wrong.
