Since the girls started laying again, after a long, hard molt and a cold, snowy winter, someone has consistently been laying fairy eggs... I think it’s my Speckled Sussex, Dottie. She’s coming up on three years old, in good health, gets plenty of layer chow and fresh water, doesn’t have worms or mites, and is acting normal. She’s not laying fairy eggs every time she hits the nest box, but more than ive I think she’s just taking some additional time to get back in the groove. None of my breeds lay every day. (I have seven hens, six of whom will be three and one who will be two this summer.) Most lay an average of 4 times a week.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Our first fairy egg!!! The cream legbar who laid it is about a year old now. So neat! I think it's my Lucy (profile pic).
