fake cigarettes? I need a little help...

The local owner of an e-cigarette company gave my DH a whole set-up of them to help him quit. It didn't work, he found the fake cigs. too hard to draw on.

The advice I was given by our doctor was to use the patches and (in the case of a heavy smoker) lozenges for when he needs a quick fix.

I agree with the others. A smoker has to be ready to quit. No one else can make that decision for them.

Went I think of giving my hubby a Christmas gift I think of getting him something that he would enjoy having. Things like a new soldering iron, guitar strings, or a cool t-shirt. Things I know he'd like to show him I love him and am thoughtful about his happiness and not something that says "this is the behavior I want you to correct". It would be like him buying you a box of toothpicks because he can't stand it when you pick your teeth with your fingers or suck them to get stuff out of them.

He does want to quit...he's trying...he told me he wanted one of these...i dont want to tell his whole life story so i kept it simple and sweet...we have talked about this kinda stuff and I know he would appreciate this as a gift...I'm just asking for brands which people have tried and liked...

I tried to quit many times before I finally did.

I quit using the patches an peppermints. several hundred dollars in peppermints.

Ive been quit for something like 10 years now an still have a craving every now an then.

To quit you cant just want to quit, you have to really really want to quit cause it is the hardest thing you will ever do in life.

The way I did it was use a step down system of patches an wear them to bed to, even though it says not to.(warning, vivid dreams may become addictive) I also spent 2 weeks on each step, not the one it says to. An eating the peppermints helped a lot.

You cant be around smokers an you cant have any down time. You need to stay busy.
