Fall Bi-Annual Carolina Poultry Party ~ Aug 6th at Irmo Tractor Supply

I have been reading on this forum a lot lately and it has been wonderful source of information! I also missed the meeting in April @ TSC. I actually had just got my 1st set of chicks a couple weeks before that meeting. Happy to know that another meet is coming up and I will be there. I'm new to this game, so any help along the way is greatly appreciated. I only live a few minutes up the road from this store, and like Brandy said the Little Mountian Reunion is that same weekend and pretty fun to go to if you have time. Looking forward to the meet.

Betsy,
If you are coming to pick up those bantam SLC from me the week of the 4th then you may want to pick up some Cochin hens I have available to take to this sale.
Or you may want to keep them for yourself, depending on how many you need for your breeding pens. I know how much you always like to get some from me so try to keep a few back to give you dibs on them first. They are laying now, too, so by August will be ready for anyone wanting bantam Cochins in several colors.

I can't make the sale as we have a Guinea Pig show but will be with you all in spirit!

Hey guys I will try to convince my hubby to let me come! I want more hens! I would bring some of my Roos but I'd feel kinda guilty. Everyone talks about birds being tested and diseases and to be honest my birds aren't tested and I have birds from various sources who have had cocci before and lice. Both had parasites though not a virus that sticks with the bird. *shrug* not sure anyone would want a silver Phoenix or an ee roo. Those are two I need to rehome. I have someone here I might give them to though.

john is trying to get some people from augusta and aiken. i talked to one man from aiken about coming. maybe john came get him to come. he guinea keets, royal palm turkey poults, and corination sussex. i am interested in the sussex bad. he got his from hodge farms in ga. which they got started from greenfire farms in fl. from imports

Can u post a picture of ur ee. Roo? The wife wants a new one. She doesn't like the one we have.

My ee roo is nothing fancy and he's not very old. Here he is when my brother caught him out in the yard a week ago. He was panting. It was like 98 that day.
