Fall Bi-Annual Carolina Poultry Party ~ Aug 6th at Irmo Tractor Supply

If I have a choice I'd choose white over blue. Though a light blue may not be too bad. I've never seen any adult silkies before in person. I've only seen my white chick before and I know I liked my chick I had previously.

I would choose blue but that is because I don't have white

DH will let me add all the silkies I want, just not much of anything else.

I told him cochins, silkies & wyandottes (shhhhh & marans

) are gonna be my main breeds.

Of course, he thinks I should do only those two and not have anything else.

Would get boring without something else pretty to look at.

ETA: I do have a splash roo available, right now. Dunno for how long though.

I hatched 2 little yellow silkies out this week. I'm hoping that they will be lav since they had to have come from the splash/blue pen cause the only others that I have are partridge. The eggs weren't marked and were under a broody so I guess they could be sizzle also!! I can't remember what I collected and put under the cranky broody hen. Did hatch a great looking partridge chick too with lots of color!!!! Wait I have a picture . . . .

The little stripped one is a mille fluer cochin chick - all the others should be silkies and maybe sizzles but I'm thinking I put all silkies and a few cochins under her.

So..I'm thinking I'd like to try to get a couple EE pullets or ameracauana..and I'm really loving the bantam mille fleur cochins. I'd rather them not be teeny babies though. I now know I definately have 4 Blue Orpington and 2 maran cockerals I'll need to find homes for. One of the marans is a black copper, and one a blue copper. They are between 9 and 13 weeks right now. I'm hoping to find them homes before then...but the way it's looking I'll probably still have them.

i think i will start up the incabator again for some w/bl wheaton, black, blue, and splash americauna eggs i have 25 to put in now. to hatch and take to the meet in irmo.

i will be bringing a few milli fluer cochin pullets that was hatched on christmas day this past yr.they are just starting to lay now

i also will be bringing young blrw's,bo's,ring neck pheasants, milli fleur cochin, and americaunas
