Fall colors block swap/Quilted Rooster Yahoo group *full*

Chicken Women, That's part of the fun of quilting. I enjoy converting a smaller block to a 12.5 block. I loved geometry in school and I guess being an art teacher long ago helps too.

Acre, if you don't find the pattern online, let me know and I'll send you a mock up and some pattern pieces with instructions.

Awesome Nanakat! I think that will make a pretty block too, looks like one I saw that had a strip to make and cut for the double blcoks..a long strip and cut them to make the 4 center outside blocks...I think I could do this block, I do ok with the bigger, straight cuts like this, it's the small squares and itty bitty triangles that I can't keep the size right on....oh, what is that noise???oh....my...it's Acre yelling something about "PAPER PIECING"!!!! Yes, I'll have to try that since she thinks it's the greatest thing since peanut butter!!!

Thank you everybody!
I had enough materials left over, I'm going to make some more antique blocks and to intersperse with the ones from the fall block swap and make a queen-sized quilt and maybe some pillow shams. Hubby has been mentioning that he is tired of the victorian florals in our bedroom....guess he deserves something less feminine....

By the way, his heart stress test went well today. They didn't make him do the treadmill test...gave him meds to simulate the reaction instead. Sleep apnea and trach surgery really stinks!

I'm still here! I read everything, but I don't post unless I feel I have something to say. I have my blocks all cut, but I've been waiting for a happier baby and a rainy day to start sewing. I have a few other projects I need to finish, too.
