Got my fabric yesterday, whooo hooo!! Pumpkins gone wild!!! Haven't had time to wash it yet and hope to get one of those rotary cutters before I start cutting it..hopefully won't cut my fingers off, I am horribly clumsy, my husband says I don't finish looking at my last thing before I look at the next and that does seem to make me clumsy! Too many interests, too little time!! Anyway, I have a pattern and the fabric and I made a couple practice pinwheels that I'll use on my May swap recipients (guinea pigs,

). I need to enlarge the pattern a bit but I am pleased that I could get all the points matching! I never would have thought in a million years that I would have any interest in sewing!! I think now, looking back that my dislike was over the clothes making idea..never, ever occured to me to make quilts..duh!!! A whole different ballgame and much more like the crafting I was used to...add a set of horribly enabling internet pals and bam..you have an addiction!!!

I have lovely scars on my thumbs from the rotary cutter. When you miss, they go all the way to the bone. If you do this long enough, sooner or later you will cut yourself. Be careful.

hmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I would be safer with a new pair of sharp scissors!!! I can't imagine having a knub instead of a finger!!! ewwwwwwwwwww!!!

I would never give up my rotary cutter. It speeds the cutting part up way too much. I have carpal tunnel too, so too much scissor work work isn't good.

Hey since getting my Rotary cutter, no one can accuse me of having fat stubby fingers, narrow stubby fingers maybe, if you cut just right, you can become a criminal because you will no longer have fingerprints.
