I've been lugging gallon milk jugs too which I don't mind but as cold as its been the past few days the water seems to ice over fairly quickly. I'm going to look up Kassaundra's method. The lightbulb in the cement block sounds like a great idea!

I just signed up for the Winter swap.  I always liked the idea of a uniform final round, but I may just put the squares together as is.  It might just be a different look.  Although adding a final round feels like a lot of work, if I like the uniform look better, I guess I'll just have to do it.  I'll decide after I see the squares.  Navy blue might be a nice final round.

And now I'm thinking about snowflake centers in white with different colored backgrounds.  hmmmm....

And I will say though, I love the idea that all of the squares I will be receiving already have the final round on it. Therefore they are ready to connect together. I like the ease of the final round already being on the blocks, especially the 12 inchers. I am to anal to just connect all the swap colors willy nilly w/o a coordinating border (perhaps they have a pill for that

) However w/ the 6 inchers that don't have the border on them already that gives you the chance to set one or more into 12 inch squares that are offset or not centered giving you a cool look of ordered chaos. (or maybe just fooling people into thinking I am medicated lol lol lol )

You are sooooo going on the list. Yes there is a thread. You are number nine.



It looks as though some are holding back signing up. If you started now you'd have plenty of time. The last swap was 18 contributors. From the final sign up date to the due date that gives you 2.7 days to do one square. Good garden o' peas, even a beginner can do a basic granny in that amount of time.
